Dawn B. Morse, age 88, of Edgewater, died Friday, November 16 at Halifax Health Hospice Edgewater. Born in Old Town, Maine, Mrs. Morse moved to Florida in 1960, having lived in Jacksonville, Holly Hill, and Edgewater.
A dedicated wife and mother, she considered her job was to provide her family a warm and loving home.
She was a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church and enjoyed arts and crafts.
Friends and family will remember Dawn for her love of dancing, camping, puzzles and her Boston Red Sox.
She was a devoted and loving wife, her greatest joy was her family.
Survivors include her children, Vicky (Hartwell) Briggs of Oak Hill, Marci (Logan) Morgan and Mark (Rene) Morse, both of Edgewater, Andrew (Mary) Morse of Grovetown, Georgia, and John (Kim) Morse of Moorseville, North Carolina; brother, Roger Burnham of Alton, Maine; sister, Jane Babin of Howland, Maine; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and a large extended family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Morse, daughter, Carolyn Morse, and brother, Fred Burnham.
Mass of the Resurrection will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 1 at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, with Father Rodney Roehner officiating. A reception will follow in the parish hall. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday, November 30 at Settle-Wilder Chapel.
