Dennis Taylor

Dennis Taylor, age 72, died Thursday, June 30, 2022 at his residence. Born in Cherry Hill, New Jersey to Earl J. And Jean Kavanaugh Taylor, Dennis came to the area in 1996 from Orlando and loved spending time at the beach. 

A timeshare broker, he could make friends with anyone and was known as DT. He loved starting up conversations with people wherever he went. Dennis was a devoted Irish Catholic and a history buff. He was a writer, wrote in his journal almost everyday, and wrote several screenplays. He enjoyed reading, collecting all types of books, watching movies, and going to the library. Dennis loved Breckenridge, Colorado and was a snow ski instructor. He studied acupuncture, and especially loved golden retrievers and his grand dogs, Milo and Lola. He was born on Christmas Day and loved Christmas. 

Survivors include his 2 daughters, Shannon Taylor and Elizabeth Taylor, both of New Smyrna Beach; son, Mike Taylor, of Orlando; 4 brothers, Raymond, Joe, Tim, and Gregory; 2 sisters, Eileen Escalante and Maureen Wojcicki. He is also survived by many nephews, nieces, and cousins. Dennis was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Bernedette.

Celebration of Life will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 8, 2022 at Settle-Wilder Funeral Home with Reverend Patrick Quinn, T.O.R., officiating.
