Donald William Sawyer

Donald William Sawyer, age 92, of Edgewater, Fl and Haverhill, Ma, died Thursday, December 12, 2024 at Halifax Health Hospice, Edgewater. Born in Haverhill, Massachusetts July 19, 1932 to the late Paul E. and Grace E. (Reynolds) Sawyer, Donald was a snowbird since 1997 from West Newbury, Massachusetts.

A United States Army Korean Conflict veteran, he worked as a draftsman for 33 years with Western Electric N. Andover, Massachusetts. Donald graduated from Haverhill High School, enjoyed woodworking, camping and traveling. He loved spending time visiting with his family and friends.

Survivors include his longtime partner, Norma Wildes of Haverhill & Edgewater; 3 children, Steven D. (Hazel) Sawyer, of Fremont, New Hampshire, Dennis R. Sawyer, of Jay, Maine, and Linda J. (Kevin) Massey, of W. Newbury, Massachusetts; 7 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren. Donald was preceded in death by his wife of 44 years in 1996, Carmen J. (Roy) Sawyer; sister, Barbara Lee Hardy; brother, Paul , Jr.
