Donald Christopher Geno, age 31, of Edgewater, died Thursday, February 4, 2021. Born in DeLand to Edward and Mary Veeder Geno; Donnie was a lifelong resident of this area.
A heavy equipment master mechanic for Volusia County; he was a 2008 graduate from New Smyrna Beach High School, enjoyed his job, coaching football, shooting guns, listening to music, taking his truck out mudding, rooting for the Georgia Bulldogs, and tinkering with motors. Donnie loved spending time with his family, especially his nephews; and would do anything for you. He was the best brother in the world and loved his parents and his dog.
Survivors include his Mother and Father; a Brother, Eddie (Kerri); a Sister, Elizabeth; 2 Nephews, Colton and Gunner; Grandfather, Deline Veeder; Aunt Donna and Uncle Mike Parris; Uncle Billy and Aunt Dolores Geno; and Aunt Dorothy Cannon; his dog, Diesel; numerous cousins and a large extended family.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, February 11, at Settle-Wilder Funeral Home, with Chaplain Mark Spivey officiating. Burial will follow at Sea Pines Memorial Gardens, Edgewater. Friends will be received on Thursday from noon until the service time.
