Eddie Hodgkins

Eddie Hodgkins, age 68, died Tuesday September 24, 2024 at Halifax Health Hospice, Edgewater. Born in Henderson, Kentucky, Eddie came to the area during his service in the United States Air Force in 1975.

A design engineer, he was a former member of the American Legion, and was a master at cooking on the grill, trying new recipes, and going out to breakfast on the weekend. 

Eddie worked very hard during his working years and found time to hang out with his family and his dogs. He enjoyed playing the guitar, fishing, shooting pool, watching wrestling on television, and  football; especially watching NFL Teams Jacksonville and Kansas City. 

Eddie was known as "Mr. Fix-It" around the house, loved a good gadget too. He was a computer geek, loved his family very much and talking on the telephone with his siblings up North. Eddie always wanted a Cadillac, got one and was very proud to be an owner of a Cadillac. The car had to be clean and maintained, almost to the point of obsession, it was an obsession with Eddie. 

Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Sandra; 3 children, Shawn Hodgkins, Christopher Hodgkins, and Brian Hodgkins; brothers, Jim Hodgkins, Ron (Rhonda) Hodgkins, Doug (Rhonda) Hodgkins, and Bradley (Samantha) Hodgkins; and sisters, Vickii (Keith) Flaxbeard, and  Marissa Stogner. Eddie was preceded in death by his  father, Ronald Hodgkins and mother, Judy Steffen.

Private services will be at a later date at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery, Mims.
