Obituary
Elaine Strom, age 72, of New Smyrna Beach, died Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at AdventHealth New Smyrna. Born in Daytona Beach to Donald R. and Winifred Johnson Morgan, Elaine was a lifelong Volusia County resident.
Born and raised a Methodist, she was a bridge tender on the North Causeway, and a custodian for Volusia County school in Edgewater. An animal lover, Elaine enjoyed watching television and cooking. She will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved her.
Survivors include her husband of 21 years, James; brother, Robert and his wife, Sherry Morgan; and James Morgan; nephews and nieces, Ryan, Kyle, Leanne, Sean, and Carolyn; and a large extended family.
Memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 15, 2023 at Settle-Wilder Funeral Home, with the Rev. Dr. Martha Rutland, Coronado Community United Methodist Church, officiating.
