Eleanor Brislin

Eleanor Brislin, age 83, died Monday, September 27, 2021 at Advent Health Hospital New Smyrna Beach. Born in Carlstadt, New Jersey to George and Katherine Van Houten Roberts, Eleanor came to the area in 1989 from her birthplace.

 

A homemaker, she enjoyed crocheting, painting ceramics, sewing and doing jigsaw puzzles. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

 

Survivors include her 2 daughters, Linda Brislin and Ellie Sawicki, both of New Smyrna Beach; 3 sons, Jim Brislin, of New Smyrna Beach; Walt Brislin, of Milton, Washington and Chuck (Vanessa) Brislin, of Maricopa, Arizona; 6 granddaughters, Jennifer LoMacchio, of New Smyrna Beach; Jodi (Tyler) Stewart, of New Smyrna Beach; Karri Sawicki, of Port Orange; Kristy (Kevin) Student, of Tacoma, Washington; Emily (Tyler) Brislin, of New Smyrna Beach;and Finley Brislin, of Maricopa, Arizona; 3 grandsons, Buddy (Lorisa) Sawicki, of South Daytona; Jimmy Sawicki, of New Smyrna Beach; and KC Brislin, of Milton, Washington; 10 great grandchildren; Randee, Matthew, Finley, Gavin, Charlee, Lindsey, Jade, Bo, Skyler, Ember-Lynn. Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 47 years, Walt and 5 siblings.

 

Funeral service will be 12:00 Noon, Tuesday October 5, 2021 at Settle-Wilder Chapel, with Chaplain Mark Spivey, officiating. Burial will follow at Sea Pines Memorial Gardens, Edgewater. Friends will be received on Monday October 4, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and 11:00 a.m. to 12 Noon, Tuesday October 5, 2021 at Settle-Wilder Chapel.
