Esther May (Feiler) Vaughn

Esther May Vaughn, age 96, of Edgewater, died Saturday, April 21, 2018 at Horizon Assisted Living, Ormond Beach.  Born in Bucks County, Pennsylvania to John C. and Alice Feiler, Mrs. Vaughn came to the area in 1984 from Waretown, New Jersey.

 

A former banker with Toms River National Bank, Toms River, New Jersey, Mrs. Vaughn was a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, New Smyrna Beach; a lifetime member of the Eastern Star; enjoyed crafts, word search puzzles, bingo and loved spending time with her family.

 

Survivors include her daughter, Kathy (Jim) Newell of Edgewater; grandchildren, Patrick Heaton, of Boston, Massachusetts, Amy (E.J.) Cahn of South Daytona, Eric (Jess) Kochman of Edgewater, Holly (Dave) Herne of Palm Coast, and step grandchildren, Richard (Amanda) Newell of Westmoreland, Tennessee and Robert Newell of Edgewater; 12 great grandchildren; and son-in-law, Robert Heaton. Mrs. Vaughn was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford M. Vaughn, Jr. in April, 1988 and a daughter, Karen Heaton.

 

Funeral Service will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 25th at Sea Pines Memorial Gardens, Edgewater with Father Rodney Roehner, St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, officiating. Friends will be received on Tuesday, April 24th from 6:00 until  8:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. at Settle-Wilder Chapel, New Smyrna Beach.
