Eugene Vincent Sasowski, age 60, of Edgewater, died Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at Halifax Medical Center, Daytona Beach.

Born in Port Jefferson, Long Island, New York to Edward Vincent and Peggy Carolyn Ott Sasowski, Eugene came to the area in 1994 from Miami. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, crabbing and fishing. Eugene’s passion was working on cars and was the best mechanic. He would play practical jokes and was known for teasing.

Survivors include his ex-wife, Janet; son, Kiven Sasowski and Coupe (Christy) Faw; granddaughters, Caeleigh and Kymberleigh; great granddaughter, Brynnleigh; sister, Susan Roach; brother, Edward Sasowski; nephew, James (Heather) Carnes; niece, Melissa (Daniel) Lisansky; great nieces, Magnolia and Dahlia Carnes; and a large extended family. Eugene was preceded in death by his son, Christopher in 2007 and his parents.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday August 24, 2019 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. 998 Father Donlon Dr. New Smyrna Beach, FL 32168.
