Francis J. “Frank” Bianca, age 85, of New Smyrna Beach, died Friday, October 22, 2021 at AdventHealth New Smyrna Beach. Born in Brooklyn, New York to Frank and Edith Riccardo Bianca; Frank moved to this area in 2002 from Stamford, Connecticut.
A retired executive for American Brands; Frank served in the U.S. Army and played the clarinet and saxophone in the Army Band. He graduated from Xavarian Brothers High School (formerly St. Michael’s Catholic School), furthering his studies, Frank graduated from St. John’s University in NY. He was a member of Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, New Smyrna Beach. Frank was very involved in sports; he played and then coached for the Bay Ridge Celtics and loved going to the Metropolitan Opera House; along with the Museum of Arts in Daytona Beach.
Survivors include his 2 brothers, Anthony Bianca, of Brooklyn, New York and James Bianca, of Santa Fe, New Mexico; a nephew, Anthony (Marie) Bianca Jr.; 7 nieces, Paula Bianca, Diane (Ralph) DeVito, Gloria (Jim) Farrell, Monica (Danny) Lanigan, Margaret (Michael) Lorenzo, Frances (Nick) Maddalone, and Barbara Chilelli; and numerous grand nieces and nephews. Frank was preceded in death by his parents, a niece Laura Bianca, and a sister-in-law, Marie Bianca.
The Roman Catholic Liturgy and Burial will be in Brooklyn, New York at a future date. Frank surrounded his family with Faith, Hope and Love and he excelled in Love.
