Frank Ridley Garrity

Ridley Garrity, age 85, of New Smyrna Beach, died, Monday, October 3, 2022 at Halifax Health Hospice, Port Orange. Born in New Smyrna Beach to Frank A. and Margaret E. Garrity, Ridley was a lifelong resident.

 

Frank served in the U.S. Army as a technician specialist 4th class.

A retired property appraiser, he enjoyed fishing, boating, traveling and taking pictures. Ridley was very handy, always fixing things and tinkering while enjoying his retirement. His number one hobby was cars. Ridley was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

 

Survivors include his wife of 18 years, Almita; son, David (Debi) Garrity, of New Smyrna Beach; and grandson, Darine Garrity, of South Carolina. Ridley was preceded in death by his parents, son, Danny and sister, Mina.

 

Memorial Gathering will be 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 29, 2022 at Settle-Wilder Funeral Home.  Mass of Christian Burial will be at a later date. Burial with Military Honors will be at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery also at a later date.
