Frank Kokoska, age 100, died Friday, December 9, 2022 at VITAS Suites at Orlando Lutheran Towers. Born in Czechoslovakia to Jan and Anna Konarcikova Kokoska; Frank moved to central Florida newly married and ready to start a family in 1953.
Frank served in the United States Army during WWII. He owned and operated several grocery stores. He also owned a manufactured home community. Frank and his wife Sofija retired in 1982 and split their retirement between North Carolina and New Smyrna beach. He was a member of Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, New Smyrna Beach. Frank was a member of the New Smyrna Golf Club, he loved to play golf and he enjoyed his wife’s wonderful cooking.
Survivors include his 3 sons, Joseph (Jill) Kokoska of Arden, NC, Stephen (Kendra) Kokoska of Lake Mary, FL, and Michael (Christine) Kokoska of Odessa, FL; 3 grandsons, Jason Kokoska, Shawn Kokoska, and Alex Giles; 6 granddaughters, Tarin Covert, Alexis Kokoska, Milayna Kokoska, Rachel Kokoska, Kayla Giles, and Deanna Zeigler. Frank was preceded in death by his loving wife of 62 years, Sofija; a brother, Stephen Lach; and his parents.
Funeral service at the Graveside will be at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at Sea Pines Memorial Gardens, Edgewater, with Father Patrick Quinn, T.O.R., officiating.
