Gene Vitagliano Obituary

Loving husband to Priscilla Ann, devoted son of the late Anthony and Concetta
Vitagliano, dedicated father of Marissa Coheley, Marc (Amy) Vitagliano, Michael
(Maria) Vitagliano and step-father of Andrew (Paula) Ray, Christopher (Cheryl) Cook,
and Helen Ray. Beloved brother of Mary Jo (Robert) Bauer and Anthony (Peggi)
Vitagliano and adored “Pa” to 10 grandchildren. 
 
Vitagliano was a graduate of St. Joseph’s Collegiate Institute and the University of Buffalo. 
For many years he was a dynamic presence in Buffalo’s hotel and restaurant scene, most remembered as Geno of the Executive 747 Club and later as the facilities manager for a large chain of restaurants in New York and Florida. Vitagliano’s gregarious personality, quick wit, and unending hospitality will be missed by all who knew him.
 
Family will be present 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 2, at Settle-Wilder Funeral
Home, New Smyrna Beach, FL.
 
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 3, at St. Gerard’s
Mission Church, Edgewater, FL.
 
A Memorial Service and Reception will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 7 at
Westminster Presbyterian Church, Buffalo, NY.
 
Donations may be made in Mr. Vitagliano’s name to the American Cancer Society at
Cancer.org.
