Obituary
George C. Hopper, age 69, of Edgewater, died Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at AdventHealth New Smyrna. Born in New Smyrna Beach to Wallace Wade Hopper Jr. and Janet Steele Hopper, George was born and raised in New Smyrna Beach.
A journeyman for IBEW Local 756, he was an electrician for over 30 years. George was a member of United Church of Christ NSB and enjoyed surfing, fishing, camping and traveling. He loved to go to the freshwater springs.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Pam; son, Wade Hopper (Danielle Miller) , of Edgewater; and granddaughter, Kali Lorelei Hopper, of Edgewater. George is also survived by his beloved nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews; they all were the light of his life. George was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Marilyn Jeffries.
A paddle out in his memory will be at 2:30 p.m., Thursday, April 20, 2023 between Sapphire Park and Beachway approach, an area also known as French Fry’s.
A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, April 21, 2023 at the Boat & Ski Club from 4 to 8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Gifts of Love Food Pantry, 820 W Park Ave, Edgewater, FL 32132.
