George Mahan Jr.

George Mahan Jr., age 79, of Edgewater, died Sunday, January 14, 2024 at his residence. Born in Warren, Ohio to Edith Burnett and George W. Mahan Sr.

A tile setter, he was a member of the Eagles, AmVets, Moose Lodge, Dolphin Athletic Club, and Masons 149. George was a store manager for Winn Dixie in Sanford, and later worked with his brother, Milton doing tile work. George owned and operated George’s Break Time Catering.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Nelthe; dauther in law, Debbie; two granddaughters, GeAnna Mahan, of Deltona, and Amy Mahan, of Deltona; grandson, George Mahan IV, of Deltona; sister in law, Judy Mahan, of Port Orange, and nieces and nephews. George was preceded in death by his parents, son, George III, and brother, Milton Mahan.

He will be missed dearly by his family and many friends.
