Gile Hankins Obituary
Gile Hankins, age 51, of New Smyrna Beach, died Sunday, October 10, 2021 at Advent Health Hospice. Born in Daytona Beach to Lamar Wilson and Mae Rosa Hankins, Gile lived in Volusia County all of his life.
A tile layer, he liked to fish and loved music. Most of all, Gile loved his children and his family with all of his heart. He loved having a good time. Gile will be missed by all that knew and loved him.
Survivors include his son, William Christopher Stone; daughters, Gila Lorraine Hankins and Ge’Ala Lamarie Hankins; brothers, Vincent Hankins and Lamar Wilson Jr.; sisters, Sylvia Hankins, Karen Brinson, Martha Macant and Deborah Colts; life long friend, Crystal Yarbrough.
Graveside service will be 11:30 a.m. Saturday, October 16, 2021 at Glencoe-Geiger Cemetery, with Pastor Pete Carter, Bethel Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will immediately follow the service.
