Hazel (Davis) Walters

Hazel Davis Walters, age 87, of New Smyrna Beach, died Thursday, November 21, 2019 at Ocean View Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.  Born in Brushy Mountain, North Carolina to Mitchell and Carrie Canter Davis; Hazel came to the area in 1958 from Winston Salem, North Carolina.

 

A former advertising sales associate, Hazel loved gardening and traveling.  She enjoyed people and being around them. Hazel was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

 

Survivors include her husband of 20 years, Bob; son, Barry (Sharon) Eller, of Merritt Island; daughter, Judith Yvonne (David Gregory) Jaeb, of Lake Mary; grandson, David G. (Jennifer) Jaeb, II, of Sanford; granddaughter, Jennifer Lynn (Timothy) Coll, of Deltona; 4 great grandchildren, Kendyl, Parker, Shane and Delaney.  Hazel was preceded in death by her parents, grandson, Eric; several brothers and sisters; and her first husband John Bruce Eller, who died 10 years ago.

 

Celebration of Life will be 5:00 p.m. Friday, December 6, 2019 at Settle-Wilder Chapel, with Chaplain Mark Spivey officiating. Friends will be received on Friday, December 6, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
