Henry L. Davis, age 79, of Edgewater, died Friday, October 23, 2020 at his residence. Born in Dade City to Henry L. and Beatrice Hilton Davis, Henry came to the area in 2012 from Raleigh, North Carolina.
He was born and raised in Florida, moving to North Carolina, raised his family and then returned to Florida. Henry was a softball player, playing in the little league world series and hitting a home run. He enjoyed fishing, an avid hunter and played senior softball. Henry loved woodworking and was a devoted husband and father.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Judy; brother, Ron (Laura) Davis, of Monroe, Georgia; sister, Cherine (Virgil) Hilliard, of Ocala and many nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Kent.
Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 29, 2020 at Chapel Hill Gardens, 11531 US 301, Dade City.
