Henry "Hank" Preston McKelvey Jr.

Henry "Hank" Preston McKelvey Jr., age 77, died Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at AdventHealth Stuart F. Meyer Hospice, Palm Coast.

Born in Cleveland, Tennessee to Sylvia Ellis and  Henry Preston McKelvey Sr., Hank came to the area as a child from Tennessee.

A United States Army veteran, he was a General Contractor who worked many years in the Daytona Beach area.  He was a Harley Davidson enthusiast, taking trips to Sturgis, Laconia, and many motorcycle events throughout the United States. Hank was an avid fisherman, and enjoyed his many trips to "The Keys".  A member of VFW Post 4250, Moose Lodge #1835, Dolphin Club, Edgewater, American Legion Post #17, and AmVets Post 2, where he served as an honor guard. Hank had so many loving friends, and made friends anywhere he traveled.

Survivors include his son, Henry III, and his step-daughter, Alexandra McGinnis. Hank was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Ruth Rollins.

Funeral Service will be 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, November 27, 2024 at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery. 

A Celebration of Life will follow immediately at AmVets Post 2.
