Howard C. Gamble, age 92, of Edgewater, died Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at his residence. Born in Miami to John Herbert and Doris Culley Gamble, Howard came to the area in 2006 from Fort Lauderdale.
A United States Army veteran, he was a draftsman. Howard was a member of Oak Hill Baptist Church, and loved watching sports, mostly baseball. Also, he enjoyed working in the yard and was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.
Survivors include his son, Kevin (Melinda) Gamble, of Edgewater; three daughters, Laurie (Glenn) Rousseau, of Gainesville; Terry (Tommy) Thornton, of New Smyrna Beach; and Tracy (Mark) Gibbons, of Southwest Ranches; grandson, Chad Thornton; four granddaughters, Kala Bartlett, Lynsay (Cesar) Torres, Taylor Gibbons, and Celeste Rousseau; nine great grandchildren, Ella, Parker, Thomas, Laylah, Emma, Gavin, Kassidy, Tye, and Kenslea. Howard was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Beatrice, and brother, John.
