JACK H. HAYMAN, SR. OBITUARY
Mr. Jack H. Hayman, Sr. of Edgewater, Florida, passed away peacefully on 27 August 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Survived by his wife of sixty-nine years Patricia C. Hayman, his daughter Brenda Hayman Hendrick, his sons Jack H. Hayman Jr. & Michael R. Hayman, son-in law Forrest B. Hendrick, daughter in-law Denise Hayman, five grand-children and three great-grand-children.
Jack was a highly decorated Army veteran of both the Korean and the Vietnam wars, earning the Silver Star and other awards for valor during the Vietnam War as a Company Commander of Infantry in the 82nd Airborne Division. He retired with 31 years of combined Army service attaining the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. Following his military career, Jack committed his life to community service as the Mayor of Edgewater for four years and as a Volusia County Councilman for eight years. Jack was a 60 Year Master Mason of New Smyrna Lodge Number 149 and a Charter member of the Edgewater United Methodist Church.
A Full military honors ceremony on 3 October 2025 will be held at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery; this will be a private ceremony- invitation only.
