From there she received orders to the Naval Air Station in Norfolk, Virginia where she met her first husband, C.W. "Dutch" Schultz, Jr, who was a Naval officer. They married in 1946 and afterwards she was granted her discharge from the Navy to begin life as wife and eventually mother to 3 children. After her husband passed away in 1968, she re-married in 1970 and re-located to Oak Hill, FL with her two youngest sons, both still in high school. Her new husband, H.E. "Butch" Treadwell, whom she met through mutual friends in Norfolk, was a widower and officer in the U.S. Coast Guard and an active member in many civic organizations in the SE Volusia area. In 1993, they sold their home in Oak Hill and re-located to Tymber Trace, in New Smyrna Beach.

Jacqueline was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Smyrna Yacht Club, Past President Blue Gavel Auxiliary, life member New Smyrna Beach Elks Ladies; Chair, Marvin Harvey Scholarship Committee, and the historian at Smyrna Yacht Club for several years.
