James A. Buksar, 62, loving father, of New Smyrna Beach, Florida, passed away January 15th, 2020.
James (Jim) was born in Youngstown, Ohio to Alex M. and Katie Poulsen Buksar. Jim came to the area from Sharon, Pa. in 1996.
A 1975 graduate from Rayen High School, Jim continued his education and graduated from Youngstown State University. He received his Masters degree from Clarion University in Clarion, Pa.
Jim was the Executive director and librarian at the Buhl-Henderson Library for 6 years in Sharon, Pa., now known as Community Library of the Shenango Valley.
In 1996 Jim accepted the Assistant Regional Manager position at the New Smyrna Beach Library in New Smyrna Beach, FL. Jim continued his employment as a librarian for Volusia County Libraries for 20 years.
Jim loved a variety of music, gardening, reading, cooking, and spending time with his daughter. He enjoyed bicycle riding, watching sports and comedic movies.
Survivors include his daughter Sacha Buksar; brother, Michael Buksar; sisters, Ann Marie Salter and Nancy Woods; and cousin, Jean Allen.
