James R. Carr

James R. Carr, age 84, of New Smyrna Beach, died Saturday, November 19, 2022 at his residence.

 

Born in Allen, Nebraska to Everett Maurice and Iva Ann Allen Carr, James came to the area in 2001 from Orlando.

 

A United States Navy veteran, he proudly served his country. He was a retired salesman,  manager and licensed realtor; member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, and  the Shriner’s; James loved riding his bike on the beach and was an avid boater. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather that will be missed by all that knew and loved him.

 

Survivors include his wife of 5 years, Betty; 2 sons, Jon Carr (Phillip Fansler), of Los Angeles, CA and David (Rhonda) Kendle, of Titusville; 2 grandsons, Josh Kendle and Jack Kendle, both of Titusville; granddaughter, Sara Sarasdy, of Panama; grandsons, Maxillim Jepes, and Salvardore Jepes, both of Columbia; brother, Loren (Betty) Carr and sister, Polly. James was preceded in death by his parents, wives, Barbara and Charlene and 7 siblings.

 

Mass of the Resurrection will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, November 28, 2022 at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, with Father Matthew C. Dallman Obl.S.B., officiating. Burial will immediately follow in St. Paul’s Episcopal Church Cemetery.
