Jim Blythe, age 85, of Edgewater, Florida, passed away Friday, July 14, 2023 at his home in Edgewater.
Born in Concord, North Carolina, to James and Lelia Bell Blythe; Jim married the love of his life, Claudia W. Warmack. He worked in sales for many years, selling a variety of things over his lifetime. Jim served in the National Guard for 7 years and was a member of the Elks New Smyrna Beach Lodge. He enjoyed hunting, camping in his RV, cruising and traveling to the islands.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Claudia; daughter, Karren Hellyer of Edgewater; three sons, Larry (Tammy) Blythe of Sanford, Tim (Sunday) Blythe of Sorrento, and Christopher (LouAnn) Blythe of Osteen; eight grandchildren, Jared, Lelia, Courtney, Tara, Geneva, Bradley, Krystal, and Paul; and eleven great grandchildren. Jim is preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 20, 2023, at Settle-Wilder Funeral Home, with the Reverend Lauren Dunkle, VITAS HealthCare, officiating. A gathering of family and friends will be Thursday, July 20, 2023 from 1:00p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Settle-Wilder Funeral Home.
