James "Jim" J. Morrin

James J. Morrin, age 85, of New Smyrna Beach, died Thursday, September 7, 2023 at Halifax Health Hospice, Ormond Beach. Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to James and Mary Schmidt Morrin, he came to the area in 1994 from his place of birth.

Jim was a United States Army veteran and a member of the American Legion, Post 0017. He was a lineman with the electric company and enjoyed going out to eat. Jim was a helpful neighbor and everyone loved his company. A devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, he will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved him.

Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Judy; daughter, Cindy Mount, of Macungie, Pennsylvania; son, James David (Sandy) Morrin, of Zionsville, Pennsylvania; granddaughter, Baileigh Mount of Macungie  Pennsylvania; grandson, Ian (Bayleigh) Morrin, of Zionsville, Pennsylvania; and great granddaughter, Elka Morrin, of Zionsville, Pennsylvania. James was preceded in death by his parents, sister, MaryAnne, and brother in law, Edgar W. Hauck. Numerous Nieces and Nephews.

Jim especially enjoyed sitting in His garage and talking with his neighbors.
