Jean Cetrone Obituary

In the early morning of April 7, 2024, Jean Michael Cetrone passed away, peacefully, at 84 years old. She was born to Michael Klapak and Lucille Stauffer, on February 8,1940.

She graduated from Warren G. Harding, High School followed by attending business school.  Jean married Anthony C. Butch Jr. in 1957 and Vincent B. Cetrone in 1970. Shortly after coming to New Smyrna Beach, she met Raul Chavez in 1992 of whom became her lifelong partner and true love of 33 years.

Her father was a NASCAR Champion, therefore, during her childhood she frequently visited the Daytona area as well as New Smyrna. In 1990, she decided to move to New Smyrna, permanently and start a new life.

She prided herself on being a strong, independent woman who found success in NSB working both as a nanny and a medical assistant for a local gastroenterologist, for 15 years. Earlier occupations included bank teller and data entry.  In addition, Jean enjoyed many other hobbies and pleasures, such as, dining out, dancing, music, swimming, golfing, bowling and traveling.

Jeannie was known to be a wonderful cook who enjoyed feeding her family and friends. She frequently enjoyed visiting her children, grandchildren and great children in DeWitt, MI, Clearwater FL, Warren, OH and Ft. Wayne, IN.  Most of all, her children will remember her as a wonderful mother who taught them love, respect, integrity, strength and kindness.  She always put her family first and taught her children to carry on her values and traditions to their families.

Survivors include: Her 4 children, Lori (Ron) Womboldt, Loni Shutler-Loving (Jim), Kendra Cetrone (Paul Kosmos), Vince (Katie) Cetrone. She also leaves 11 grandchildren; Alec and Hillary Womboldt, Cyndi (Tommy) Brown, Jeannie and Michael Shutler, Savannah Venable, Bianca Cesta, Emilee and Laney Kosmos, and Vincent and Sofia Cetrone; 6 great grandchildren; Aiden, Jackson, Luca, Jagger, Declan, and Mason; Sister Kathy (Tommy) Lambert.
