Jeanette E. Washburn, age 86, of Edgewater, died Sunday, August 5, 2018 at her residence. Born in Martinsville, Virginia to Bailey and Edna Hall Eanes; Jeanette came to the area in 1992 from Roanoke, Virginia.
A former secretary, she was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, enjoyed traveling with her late husband William Bryant Washburn and genealogy. Jeanette was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.
Survivors include her daughter, Kay Epley of Edgewater; 1 granddaughter, Kimberly Foster of Marion, North Carolina; 1 grandson, Chris Gentry of Spruce Pine, North Carolina and 5 great grandchildren. Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents, husband and son, Barry Wayne Blevins.
Funeral service at the graveside will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 10th at Sea Pines Memorial Gardens, Edgewater with Bishop Bill Hellums, officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, August 9th at Settle-Wilder’s Chapel.
