Jerry Farrow at the age of 84 went to be with Jesus, on September 15, 2024. This was after numerous complications from a severe stage of cancer. He was born in Pekin, IL to Jon A. and Wilma Ruth Walters Farrow. In 1969 he relocated, bringing his family to Central Florida.
When the construction industry exploded, he joined in as a self-employed man who excelled, proving that the move to Central Florida was the right idea. A resident of Edgewater since 2012, he was a member of Bella Vista Baptist Church. Jerry was a United States Veteran and always sought out opportunity. He was a member of the Corvette club, a musician, a sport pilot, Mr. Fixit, enjoyed the beach, loved food, and just loved life. As a man of faith in Jesus Christ, he also enjoyed Gospel music and daily devotions with his wife of 65 years. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, whose family was everything to him.
The surviving family includes wife, Jan; two daughters, Chee-Chee (Dominick) Tassone of Johnson City, TN, and Vickie (Kevin) Martin of Longwood, FL; grand-daughter Alexis (Cody) Taylor; three grandsons, Travis (Tilie’) Harvey, Logan Martin, Luke (Mara) Martin; great-granddaughter Tristin Harvey, great-grandson Henri James Martin, and step great-grandson Elijah Taylor.
The Celebration of Life service is being held at Bella Vista Baptist Church, Edgewater, FL on October 5th at 1:00, with Pastor John Marsh officiating.
