Jerry Lee Hager

Jerry Lee Hager, age 69, of Edgewater, died Monday, March 27, 2023, which was his mother’s birthday at AdventHealth New Smyrna. Born in Welch, West Virginia, to Winford and Etta Centers Hager, Jerry came to the area in 1986 from Fairborn, Ohio.

The owner/operator of J.L. Hags Custom Automotive Refinishing since 1988, he painted many of the cars at the local car shows. He was a member of numerous car clubs and would buy old junk cars and fix them up. Jerry was very talented and would help anyone that needed anything, a great guy to say the least. He loved going to the races and mowing his grass on the riding mower. His wife, Linda was his entire life.

Survivors include the love of his life, his wife of 37 years, Linda; son, James Knighton; and sister, Tammy (Gary) Hemelgarn.

Celebration of Life will be at a later date.
