Jimmy Southard Obituary

Jimmy Lee Southard, age 58, of New Smyrna Beach, died Saturday, June 5, 2021 at Halifax Health Hospice, Edgewater. Born in Jacksonville to Leonard E. and Winifred L. Sanderson Southard, Jimmy Lee was a lifelong resident.

He enjoyed fishing, and loved his family dearly. Jimmy Lee was very close to his brother, Wayne of Edgewater and had a special bond with his great niece and great nephew, whom he loved with all of his heart.

Survivors include his brother, Wayne Southard, of Edgewater; former sister-in-law, Johnnie Braley, of Edgewater; 2 nieces, Traci (Tyler) Becker, of Edgewater and Tonya (Jason) Pecoroni, of New Smyrna Beach; great niece, Madison Pecoroni, of New Smyrna Beach; great nephew, Lucas Pecoroni, of New Smyrna Beach and cousin, Josh Riley, of Edgewater. Jimmy Lee was preceded in death by his father, Duke; Mother, Wendy; brother, Rocky; and cousin, Jason “J.R.” Riley.

Celebration of Life will be at a later date.
