Joanne Dixon Goff, age 86, of Edgewater, FL, died Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at Halifax Health Hospice, Edgewater. Born in Miami to Frank Everett and Edna Bevis Dixon (deceased), Joanne was a graduate of Miami Edison Senior High School and met her husband, the love of her life, while suntanning on Miami Beach. She lived in Miami raising their three daughters while family enjoyed fishing and camping for many years. In 1993 Mom and Dad moved to Hendersonville, NC where she was office manager at Summey Plumbing and Heating for many years. While they loved living in the Blue Ridge Mountains they eventually tired of the cold winters and moved to Edgewater, Fl. in 1999.
During her retirement in Edgewater, she played tennis, joined various hobby groups and beached and boated to her heart's content. She was known locally as "The Craft Lady", selling her chenille pillows and button crafts in local antique stores. She loved her Boston Terriers and visits from her grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Survivors include her loving husband of 67 years, Eugene F. Goff; 3 daughters, Julie Suid-Terrell (Bob); Linda Bozovich (Skip); and Amy Miller; sister, Donna Todd (Hank); 2 grandsons, Rick Suid (Becky) and Jamie Suid (Diorella); 4 great-grandchildren, Anna, Sarah, Adalyn, and Rourke Suid; 2 nephews, Brian Chase (Carrie) and Kevin Chase; and great niece and nephew Madelyn and Luke Chase.
No services have been planned. The family would like to extend special thanks to Advent Hospital, New Smyrna Beach and Halifax Health Hospice, Edgewater for their compassionate and loving care. We are comforted in the knowledge that she is enjoying her next great adventure.
