Joanne C. Woods

Joanne C. Woods, age 78, of New Smyrna Beach, died Monday, December 7, 2020. Born in Cincinnati, Ohio to Zoefore Carswell and Hanna Brown, Joanne came to the area in 1966 from Stillmore, Georgia.

 

A certified nursing assistant, she was a member of Temple of Praise, New Smyrna Beach and loved her church family. Joanne enjoyed decorating for all types of events, especially weddings. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Joanne loved spending time with her great granddaughter, Ayonnie.

 

Survivors include 3 daughters, Waltine Woods, of Palm Coast; Josiebell McDonald, of Daytona Beach and Valerie Woods, of Jacksonville; 3 sons, Otis Woods, of New Smyrna Beach; Albert Woods, of New Smyrna Beach and David Woods, of Melbourne; 6 grandchildren, Latoya, Jalisa, Monique, Alleica, Latrice, and Jamila; 13 great grandchildren; and sister, Bonnie George, of Daytona Beach. Joanne was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Otis and granddaughter, Andranique Woods.

 

Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, December 12, 2020 at Settle-Wilder Funeral Home with Pastor Kelvin Davis, officiating. Friends will be received from 12 Noon to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
