John Louis Devin, Jr.

John Louis Devin Jr., age 73, passed away on October 1, 2024. Raised in Southington, Connecticut, John resided in Edgewater, Florida, from 2005 until his passing, where he embraced the warmth of the community and the sunshine.

A passionate individual, John was known for his dedication to his friends and family and found great strength and support as a friend of Bill W. His journey through life was marked by a sense of adventure and resilience.

John is survived by his children: John Devin III of Kansas; Evelynn Devin of Waterbury, CT; Nichole Devin of Terryville, CT; and Brittani Devin of New Milford, CT.  He was a proud grandfather to Ellisandra & Luciano Santos (Evelynn) and Amber Rapp (Brittani). He is also survived by his beloved siblings: Marilyn Willett of Bristol, CT; Kathleen Salerno of Southington, CT; Lydia (Ed) DeGumbia of Southington, CT, Bonnie (Tim) Gurbel of Camden, Delaware; and Darlene Scott of Southington, CT.

John was predeceased by his parents, John and Elizabeth Devin, as well as his brothers, Albert and Ronald, & his sister Judy.

A memorial service will be held on at 11:15 am on Monday, November 25th at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery in Mims, FL. There will be a Celebration of Life gathering immediately afterwards at a location TBD. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Oceans of Hope Foundation in New Smyrna FL

John will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who knew him.
