John McKee

John McKee, age 74, of New Smyrna Beach, died Saturday, April 13, 2024 at his residence. Born in Altoona, Pennsylvania to Eugene Cecil and Grace L. Houck McKee, John came to the area in 2002 from Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania.

A United States military veteran, he was a machinist on the railroad. John was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, and loved coaching and playing softball. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Hilda; son, John (Becca) McKee, of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; daughter, Alicia (Michael) Baker, of Altoona, Pennsylvania; grandsons, Joey (Katie) McKee, of New Smyrna Beach, and Aaron McKee, of Oklahoma; granddaughters, Meagan (Alex) Towsley, of New Smyrna Beach; Abigail McKee, of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; Hayley VanKleek, of New Smyrna Beach, and Anna McKee, of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; great granddaughters, Maeve McKee, and Adalynn McKee; brother, James (Polly) McKee, of Altoona, Pennsylvania; sisters, Linda, Janet, Christine, and Deb. John was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Gina.

Service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday April 27, 2024 at Settle-Wilder Funeral Home with Sacred Heart Catholic Church Redemptorist Fathers, officiating.
