We are deeply saddened to announce that Joseph A. Oross, (Joe), 81, of New Smyrna Beach, FL, passed away peacefully in his home on December 4, 2025. Joe was born in 1944, raised in Edison, NJ, where he married his first wife Claire and started their family, before later moving to Milltown. Joe was a proud and decorated Veteran of the United States Navy, where he served in Vietnam and received multiple medals of honor; including the Purple Heart Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal & Ribbon, Vietnam Campaign Medal, and Navy Commendation Medal. Joe was the beloved husband to Pamela; devoted father to Darrin and wife Denise, Daniel and wife Edtya, Amy and husband Jay; and step-father to Jason and wife Jaclyn Veloce. He was also the adored Poppop to his beloved grandchildren, Andrew, Sarah, Devin, Riley, Lukas, and Olivia. Joe's legacy began at an early age, where he was known for building fast cars and was literally able to fix anything, he had gas in his veins and a spark in his soul. Undoubtedly, Joe's true passion was his time spent with family and friends, especially his grandchildren. He was a loyal and loving man that has touched the lives of so many and will be greatly missed by all.
