Joyce Elaine Davis

Joyce Elaine Davis, age 76, of Edgewater, passed away peacefully on May 29, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Dayton, Ohio to Raymond and Gladys Coats Albers. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, William “Lanny” Davis and her parents. Joyce and Lanny moved to this area in 1972.  

 

A former dispatcher at Smyrna Transit and Votran; Joyce enjoyed mud racing, camping, sewing, crafts, and most of all spending time with her granddaughters and great grandchildren.

 

She is survived by her two loving children, Barry (Lori) Davis, of Deltona, Christine Davis Allman, of Edgewater. Joyce will be missed by her two granddaughters, Jessica Davis, of Deltona, and Sarah (Tom) Winhoven, of Daytona Beach and her three great grandchildren, Liam Michels, and Justin and Elizabeth Winhoven. She is also survived by her two sisters, Eleanor (Bob) Stebbins, and June (Bill) Rue. Also her beloved dog, Angel; and many nieces, nephews, friends and extended family. 

 

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 4, at Sea Pines Memorial Gardens, Edgewater.
