Joyce L. Lewis, 70, of Edgewater, Florida passed away on Wednesday, July 23rd, 2025. She was born on June 1st, 1955, in Mount Vernon, Ohio.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles H. and Jo Ann (Mowery) Strong, her husband, Floyd A Lewis, her son Charles F. Lewis, her brother Jack Strong, and sister Candace Strong.
Joyce is survived by her two sons: Anthony Lewis and his wife, Tina, of Edgewater, Florida; and Wayne Lewis and his wife, Reeann Dudley, of Port Orange, Florida. She is also survived by her sisters, Shirley Musick of Ashland, Ohio and Kathy Beamer of Mount Vernon, Ohio; her brothers, Charles H. Strong Jr of Edgewater, Florida, James Miller of Daytona Beach, Florida, and Marvin Strong of Daytona Beach, Florida; and her three beloved grandchildren: Michael, Madysen, and Aleigha.
Joyce worked as a chef and was most recently employed at Edgewater Public School with Volusia County Schools. In her free time, she enjoyed watching NASCAR, attending local racetracks, she never missed her The Ohio State football games, loved baking, cooking, and sharing inspiration with others through social media.
In accordance with her wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. A service will be held at Workman Cemetery in Danville, Ohio Tuesday August 26th, at 11:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Joyce’s memory to Halifax Hospice of Daytona Beach.
