Judy Ann Denton

Judy Ann Denton, age 71, of Edgewater, died Monday, July 17, 2023 at AdventHealth New Smyrna. Born in Day, Florida to William Clanton and Myra Pauline Knight Hyatt, Judy came to the area in 1956 from Rockledge.

She started her nursing career as a candy striper, registered nurse for 30 years, a nursing supervisor for 15 years, at Bert Fish Medical Center. Judy was a natural born care giver, loved being a nurse and helping people. She selflessly did for everyone first. 

Judy attended Shady Grove Church of God, Oak Hill. She loved the mountains, the springs, spending time with her kids and grandchildren. She loved her family; family was EVERYTHING to her.

Survivors include her daughter, Tonja Denton Flanner; son, Tony (Julie Anne) Denton; grandchildren, Boston, Tony, Madison, Asher, Levi, Silas and Caleb; and great granddaughter, Banks. Judy was preceded in death by her husband, Tony “Mickey” Denton, in 2021; parents, sister, Brenda Gail Oglesby and brother, William Charles Hyatt.

Funeral service will be Noon on Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at Settle-Wilder Funeral Home with Pastor Tony M. Denton, II, officiating. Burial will follow at Edgewater-New Smyrna Cemetery. Friends will be received one hour prior to the service at Settle-Wilder Funeral Home.
