Julia “Judi” Ann Dold, age 93, of New Smyrna Beach, died Saturday November 12,2022 at

Halifax Health Hospice (Port Orange) surrounded by loved ones. Born in 1929 in Dyersburg,

Tennessee to Eddie Odell and Hallie Mae Davis Cockrell.

She came to New Smyrna Beach in 1969 where she built a home with her beloved husband

Charlie. A homemaker and seamstress, Judi immersed herself in the NSB life as a dedicated wife and mother. She began making bikinis which lead to her “Bikini Boutique” on Flagler Avenue.

From there Judi expanded on her talents and became a big part of New Smyrna’s art

community. Working in many mediums, she became a member of ACA, Boaz Arts, Harris House and Arts on Douglas. You could always find Judi creating, supporting or teaching the arts to children and adults alike.

Judi had a zest for life and dancing-even becoming a belly dancer in her 60’s! However, her zest didn’t begin and end with the art and dance. Her true joy was her family-her husband, her

children, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed filling her home with them and enjoying a wonderful meal she would prepare.

Judi will be remembered for her love of life, her family, her talents, her fashion and the

impression she has left on a small town and a family that loves her.

She is survived by her 2 children, Sandra (Edward) Rader and Wesley (Beverly) Dold; 5

grandchildren David (Rachel) Rader, Andy (Joe) Rader, Devin (Robert) Whitmore, Lindsey (Ian)

Hosford and Jamie (Mike) Rives; great-grandchildren, Ben, Sam and Nathan Rader, Rayce and (unborn) Raein Whitmore, Gavin and Hayden Hosford and Nevaeh, Harmony and Priscilla Rives.

Service will be private.
