Kathy Aylwin

Kathy Aylwin, age 71, of Ormond Beach, died Monday, September 19, 2022 at Majestic Gardens ALF, South Daytona.

 

Born in Bluefield, West Virginia to James Carlyle and Wanda Fink Harvey, Kathy was a lifelong Volusia County resident. She was a special education teacher for over 20 years at Old Kings Elementary School in Flagler, and loved the children and families that she worked with. Kathy was the life of every party, and she loved reading, spending time with family, and visiting her children in New York City. She was a devoted wife, the best mother, and an amazing friend.

 

Survivors include her daughter, Katie (Julie Fink) Aylwin, of Brooklyn, New York; sons, Jay (Lindsay Stevens) Aylwin, of New York City, New York and Todd Aylwin, of Ormond Beach; sisters, Bobbie (Wilbur) Moore and Sandra Hawkins. Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, and husband of 47 years, Danny.

 

A Celebration of Life will be from 2pm-5pm, Saturday, September 24, 2022 at The Anglers Club, New Smyrna Beach.  

 

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to The Alzheimer’s Association, www.alz.org, or Special Olympics of Volusia County, www.specialolympicsflorida.org.
