Lawrence Werner Obituary
Lawrence W. Werner, age 92, of New Smyrna Beach, died Thursday, July 1, 2021 at his residence. Born in Queens, New York to Jeanne Mollitor and John F. Werner Sr., Lawrence moved to the area in 2013 from Clearwater.
Lawrence was a chemical engineer and a United States Army veteran. He was a member of Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church; volunteered at Habitat for Humanity and St. Vincent de Paul. Lawrence enjoyed playing and watching sports, especially golf and fishing.
Survivors include his 2 sons, Lawrence Werner, of New Smyrna Beach and George Werner, of Port Orange; daughter, Tess Morrison, of Daytona Beach Shores; George’s wife Allison Werner; and 2 granddaughters, Ava and Sofia Werner, of Port Orange. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 49 years, Florence; his brothers, John and George and his sister, Eleanor.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 22, 2021 at Settle-Wilder Funeral Home.
