Lee Oliver Benton

Lee Oliver Benton, age 92, of Edgewater, died Wednesday, May 22, 2024 at his residence.

Born in Fort Myers, to Arley Andrew and Sadie May Huggins Benton, Lee came to the area in 1966 from Kissimmee.

A United States Navy veteran, he was an Electronic Technician in the Aerospace industry. Lee enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Lee adored his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Helen; 3 sons, Matthew (Sheila) Benton, of Winter Springs; Mark Benton, of Lake George, and Kevin (Cheri) Benton, of Oak Hill; 8 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren. Lee was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Arley Benton, Jr., and daughter-in-law, Jacqueline.

Memorial service with military honors will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 6, 2024 at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery.
