Lewis Wayne Bennett

Lewis Wayne Bennett, age 58, of Edgewater died Sunday, August 15, 2021 at his residence.  Born in Alexandria, Virginia to Howard Wayne Bennett and Geneva Mae Chandler; Lewis came to the area in 2011 from High Point, North Carolina.

 

A United States Army veteran, Lewis was a truck driver, a member of the VFW and the American Legion. He was a NASCAR fan, enjoyed fishing, hunting, and boating. Lewis loved spending time with his family and was a devoted father, grandfather, brother and son.

 

Survivors include his mother, Geneva of Edgewater; father, Howard, of Mill Creek, West Virginia; son and wife, Lewis &  Kristin Bennett, of Chester, Maryland; daughter and husband, Jennifer & Howard Souders, of Halethorpe, Maryland; 8 grandsons, Parker, Wade, Logan, Jordyn, Cody, Jase, Carter and Conor; 2 granddaughters, Crystal and Jazilynn; and sister, Denise Bennett, of Chesapeake, Maryland.

 

No service has been planned at this time.
