Lewis Berns Obituary
Lewis Arnold Berns, age 77, died Sunday, July 24, 2022 at his residence. Born in Chicago, Illinois to Oscar and Sarah Kosbie Berns, Lewis moved to Coral Springs in the 1980's from Chicago; and then to Edgewater in 2010.
A lawyer, he was a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, taught bible study and was a church Chancellor. He was a former member of the Vestry. Lewis enjoyed playing golf and reading. He loved building and doing layouts of model trains.
Survivors include his wife of 15 years, Daria; 3 children by his first wife, Sam (Thea) Berns; Melissa (Andrew) Meggison, and Matthew Berns; 2 grandchildren, Rowan Berns and Madeline Meggison. Lewis was preceded in death by his parents.
Mass of the Resurrection will be 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 4, 2022 at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, with Father Matthew C. Dallman Obl.S.B.
Donations may be made in Lewis’ memory to St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 1650 Live Oak Street, New Smyrna Beach, FL 32168.
