Lillian P. Malmberg

Lillian P. Malmberg, age 68, of  Edgewater, died Friday, May 3, 2019 at Halifax Health Hospice, Edgewater.  Born in Gastonia, North Carolina to Vance and Sarah Oates Pennington; Lillian came to the area in 1996 from Tallahassee.  

 

An Administrative Assistant in education, Lillian was a member of Port Orange Church of the Nazarene, and a former member of the New Smyrna Beach Lions Club.  She enjoyed walking the beach and for several years participated in the  Washback Watchers Program.  Lillian loved spending time with her family and with her grandchildren.

 

Survivors include her husband of 23 years, Rex and they were together 11 years before they were married; 2 children, Craig Timms (Sandy), of Murfreesboro, Tennessee and Sarah Walters (Dustin) of Edgewater; 4 grandchildren, Billy, Mekayla, Harmony and Deagan; brother, Don Pennington (Irene), of Edgewater; sister, Tonie Gaskin, Daytona Beach; 2 step-sons, Jed Malmberg, of California and Seth Malmberg, of Ithica, New York; Aunt Kay Walker, of Cape Coral, FL; cousins and extended family.

 

Memorial service will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, May 11th  at Port Orange Church of the Nazarene, with the Reverend Gerron Showalter, officiating.
