Lillie Boone Obituary

Lillie Emmalee "Sis" Boone, 86, peacefully passed away on May 16, 2025, in Daytona Beach, Florida. Born November 6, 1938, in Herndon, West Virginia, Lillie was the devoted daughter of Bernard and Grace Sink Milam. Lillie was a compassionate woman grounded deeply in her faith. She dedicated her life to Jesus from a young age and lived each day guided by kindness and genuine love for others. She devoted herself fully to caring for her family, making her home a place of comfort, laughter, and warmth. Lillie's happiness shone brightest when she was tending to her garden and while doting over her cherished granddaughters: Lindsey, Emmalee, Raegan, and Bailey. The joy she found in being "Mimi" brought warmth to all who witnessed her affection. Lillie's generous heart, radiant smile, and genuine appreciation for life's simple pleasures—like a good cup of coffee shared among family and loved ones—will forever remain treasured memories among those who knew her. She found community and fellowship attending Thrive Community Church. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Tony Boone; her step-son Tony, her sisters, Darlene Telgenhoff, Juanita Lusk, and Edna Cook; and her brothers Fred Milam, Bill Milam, and Clyde Milam. Lillie's legacy lives on through her children, Deborah (Dennis) Pavlik, Matthew Boone, and Wendy (KC) Boone, step-daughter Dawn (Paul) Engle and her adored grandchildren as well as all the family members and friends whose lives she enriched immeasurably. A visitation honoring Lillie's memory will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 23, 2025, at Settle-Wilder Funeral Home in New Smyrna Beach, FL, followed immediately at 11:30 a.m. by funeral services officiated by Pastor Pete Keirstead. Entombment will then take place at Sea Pines Memorial Gardens in Edgewater, FL.
