Linda Faye Brooks

Linda Faye Brooks, age 71, of Edgewater, died Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at Halifax Health Hospice, Edgewater. Born in Anderson, South Carolina to Albert Henry and Emma Blume Daniel, Linda was a phlebotomist in the Health Care industry. She was a race car driver #45 at New Smyrna Beach Speedway from 1979 to 1986, and was a big race fan. Linda enjoyed the beach, spending weekends on the beach with her family and loved her family dearly. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

 

Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Marvin; 2 sons, Eric Brooks, of Tampa and Robbie Mabry, of Spartanburg, South Carolina; grandsons, Dusty, Clay, and Cody; and brother, Danny (Sandra) Daniel, of Anderson, SC. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Linda was preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Michael.

 

Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, August 11, 2022 at Settle-Wilder Funeral Home with Reverend Don Shobert, officiating. Friends will be received on Thursday, August 11, 2022 one hour prior to the funeral service.  Burial will be 3:00 p.m. at Greenwood Cemetery, Daytona Beach.
