Lois (Cassell) Falgione

Lois Cassell Falgione, age 95, of New Smyrna Beach, died Sunday, October 24, 2022 at Alba Court Residences, New Smyrna Beach. Born in Huntington, West Virginia to Herbert and Anna Mae Wright Cassell, Lois moved to Miami with her family after her high school graduation and then to Orlando, where she met her husband. Lois moved with her husband to Bermuda, Maryland, Massachusetts and Florida while he served in the United States Navy.

 

A homemaker, she was a member of All Souls Catholic Church; Knights of Columbus Auxiliary; and the Women’s Club, all in Sanford. Lois was a volunteer at the library, schools and at All Souls Catholic Church. She volunteered at Pine Crest Elementary as a Dividends and truly enjoyed helping her daughter, Linda  in her classroom. Lois enjoyed bowling, crafts, ceramics, knitting, crocheting and embroidering. She was an excellent seamstress and made her daughters’ dresses and even Pamela’s wedding gown. Lois was always budget conscious and kept a ledger until recently. She especially loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and will be missed by all that knew and loved her.

 

Survivors include her daughters, Pamela Ann Falgione (Linton Edwin Knowles Jr.) Knowles; Linda Falgione (David Charles) Hudick; grandchildren, Linton Edwin (Tracy) Knowles III; David Charles (Amy) Hudick Jr.; Joseph Edward (Shannon) Hudick; Timothy James (Danielle) Hudick; great-grandchildren, Gavin, Marissa, Dylan, Renee, Gianna Hudick; sisters, Reba Nicholson and Barbara Youngs. Lois was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Joseph Falgione and brother, Herbert Cassell.

 

Prayer service will be 7:00 p.m. Wednesday November 9, 2022 at Settle-Wilder Funeral Home with the Sacred Heart Redemptorist Fathers, officiating. Family and friends will be received on Wednesday November 9, 2022 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Settle-Wilder Funeral Home.
