Lona Leist Obituary

Lona P. Leist, age 80, of Edgewater, died Monday, December 30, 2019 at Ocean View Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, New Smyrna Beach. Born in Rolla, Kansas to Ralph and Alma Milburn Morgan, Lona came to the area in 2000 from Osteen.

A music teacher, Lona was a member of Mid-Atlantic Metal Detecting Association. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Lona will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her son, Ray (Elaine) Leist, of Carlisle, Pennsylvania; grandson, Steven K. Leist, of Philadelphia, PA; 2 brothers, Harold Morgan, of Hugoton, KS and Arlin (Thelma) Morgan, of Topeka, KS; and sister, Marie (Elmer) Irton, Uvalde, TX. Lona was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 51 years, Clifford, brother, Wendell and sister, Doris McBride.
